This pattern comes from the USA and is another of the floating nymph/emerger patterns to work well here . Representing a nymph that has reached the water's surface but failed to penetrate the meniscus properly it is very effective early in the hatch. The foam ball helps to float this hackle'less' fly and allows a good imitation of the naturals. This is a must have pattern for the fly boxes of all trout anglers.
