The bassin hopper is a rare beast. Most foam grasshopper ties have problems. Too bulky = wind resistance and spinning. Too sparse = not enough weight to land correctly. The bassin hopper is perfectly tied to overcome these problems.
It has the necessary weight and bulk to cast and land well, it is robust and sits low in the water, it floats all day and so will save you $$ on floatant in these tough economic times.
Seriously it is one of my favourite patterns. Order some if we have some in stock as we often don't; as I tend to fill my boxes when we have them kicking about the shop.
