The X-Cicada is a pattern derived from Geoff's Miss Knobby X. There are no fancy wings to fall out or make the fly spin while casting. It has no mono eyes tied in and relies on the simple approach that most fly fishing guides take. Tie something that is durable, is quick to produce and that catches fish by the dozen. This fly lives up to that standard. It also has the bonus of becoming waterlogged in the body and landing with a plop while still floating all day. The rubber legs are a trigger and in any sort of chop or ripple the ly comes to life, almost wriggling on the surface. Olive is the standard colour and we literally use hundreds of these each, every season.
