Can be fished on sinking or floating lines, although a flating line can produce a great action as the fly is moved and brought towards the surafe and then allowed to pause and slowly sink/flutter. Absolutely deadly fished in this manner.
Has also been fished with great success in freshwater lakes for trout. A very versatile fly.
