Caddis come in many sizes and colours and the secondary hatch of black caddis is less obvious to the angler, but not so the fish. These black caddis mass on the lee side of logs and boulders close to the water and form an important part of the fish's diet. A Black Elk Hair Caddis will often do the trick.
