We have been fishing a version of this pattern for many years although we were calling it by another name. It is one of the most important caddis patterns you will ever own and it is Geoff Hall's all time favourite as proven up by many thousands of hours of fishing and guiding.
A sparse body and lighter wing than the standard elk hairs it is a very effective whenever caddis are present. can be fished in all its sizes due to its thin profile i.e. lack of bulk. Floats well and will catch many fish if care is taken in extracting them with the forceps.
