An attractor pattern that definitely has more than a passing resemblance to many beetles out there. This is a must have fly if traveling to New Zealand's South Island. Fished blind through the riffles, runs and glides this fly accounts for big bags of fish. Also good as a strike indicator fly under which a bead head nymph can be fished. The green body is typical of many beetles but perhaps is best known to those fishing on the South Island where Manuka beetles are present.
