This non specific imitation lends it's name from the familiar 'biting' insect so prolific in some parts of the country. It represents many types of larger 'true flies' generally without showing real specific favour to any. It can be an effective pattern on last light and can sometimes work when fish are targeting the mating, balling midge from the surface. Suggested Uses - midge hatch, adult midge on water, lakes, stillwaters
