The original Muddler Minnow pattern is a versatile fly that can be used in all the different situations outlined in the previous muddler descriptions as well as to imitate most terrestrials such as hoppers, crickets, cicadas and the like. Unsinkable even in the roughest of water it represents a big mouthful of protein and as such regularly fools big trout in all waters from the smallest lowland stream to the largest of our impoundments.
