An excellent pattern for prospecting the fastest of water. A very effective fly on the Rubicon it also works extremely well in many South Island rivers. Fished in tandem with a heavy beadhead nymph or a split shot to take it down super quick it should be fished upstream on a short line through the roughest of water.
