The willow grub that have had in the Goulburn valley since 2005, is one of, if not the most important food item for our trout. The hatch starts in November and goes on through the summer until all the local willow trees are devastated, totally denuded of foliage. Many of us have expressed frustration and not being able to consistently succeed during this fall of terrestrials in the past. But now we have the right flies, it can be a case of shooting fish in a barrel.
