The Big river is a tough gig. The high spring water means you have to wade tight to the bank. Right handed fishers work up the left bank and lefties up the right bank where roll casting may be required.
Think about this, a switch rod would make a better days fishing as you would cast a wet fly across the current. Big dry flies work best as fish have just enough time to see them coming. All sounds a bit hard, however, there might just be a large lake trout which has not dropped back. Nice thought but I might go try the Jamieson up the road!
