From late December the King warms up and that's possibly why cod are caught now and again in the vineyards part of the river.
The Summer fishing is so good we should celebrate. Lets crack that Patricia Pinot Noir Chardonnay Brut. One glass and how do you spell that word again - terrestrials. Hoppers, all shapes, colours and sizes. Beetles big and small. Cicadas and termites and any of the bigger dry fly patterns.
Try a nymph dropper under a big dry giving you a chance at the shy fish that won't rise. You might have to return in a few weeks before conditions change.
