Black cicada

It seems like a life time ago when we developed this little gem for The Fly Shop and it has been the down fall of many a fish this Summer of 2024.   Both browns and rainbows find it hard to resist.  Nella and I fish it as a bring them up fly in size #14 and several hundred fish have been landed this year alone.  We have bragging rights with this fly.
