Our fly of the month for December: Miss Knobby X

It's that time of year again, no not Christmas but hopper time and to be more specific Miss Knobby X time.   As the old song goes Its Simply the Best.   She has been in The Fly Shop range for 20 years or more.  The only change in that time is the banded rubber legs  which wiggle and jiggle in the currant and make it almost life like.   This fly has travelled the world catching trout in very remote places.    We know for a fact that trout fell for it on the Falkland Islands!   The other attribute she has is the chenille body.   This absorbs water and makes the fly quite heavy so it  lands with good plop just like the real deal and the ever hungry trout cannot refuse it.
