Our fly of the Month For October. Hot Creek Caddis

This fly originated in California tied by Eric Otzinger it's name comes from the hot creek that run's through Hot Creek Ranch it's a very sparsely tied pattern but super effective in choppy water or the head of the pool.  Caddis form hovering clouds over the river each evening in the spring and summer.  This is there mating dance after this the females flutter onto the water surface and lay there eggs, enter the Hot Creek Caddis Pattern.  I have used it also in the middle of the day with no caddis flying about as a searching fly and it works.
