Season 2024-2025 September

Our first drift for the season started with a morning  of 3.5c  It could only get better     Met up with Chad and put the drift boat in with a cold up river Southerly wind and slightly overcast.   Headed off down the river  under these conditions there were no fish rising.   So nymphs seemed to be the order of the day.     It wasn't long before we had our first fish to the net.   This was caught on a Tungsten Bead Red Copper John.     Making things better the sun came out.   Nella, as usual, persisted with her dry fly rig and to this point to no avail.   A lunch stop was decided, out of the wind, with a nice riffle view.   Of course it was fish this first, then lunch.    Dave tells it as it is.   Soon after this and a rig change and  a new standard was set for Dave. 10.5lbs
