Opportunities arrive

Early Spring fly fishing is bit of a challenge both for river and lakes.   La Nina has kicked in again in 2022 with rain events just about daily it seems keeping rivers high and coloured and lakes rising to near full or overflowing.  The photo is a hint of some interesting opportunities to come.   Newly flooded lake margins with light wind or windless day will find an opportunistic trout in the shallows snacking on  drowned bugs or bait fish hiding in the murky shallows.  This is a version of Tassie Tailers at Little Pine.   A man can dream can't he?  Where is that box of small wet flies?   Wooly Bugger Black WTD.  Wooly Bugger Olive WTD and a few others come to mind.
