Weipa 2024

The trip this year with Chad and Zoran did not disappoint with plenty of nice size fish.  Queen fish and Tuna the target fish and few Blues.  Overall we landed about thirty species a few less than last year.   We are planning next years trip already.  I did forget the 30lb fluorocarbon tippet material and consequently lost a few fish. My  12 weight got a work out when a few Bronze Whalers hassled us.   It's an amazing sight when a Queenie gets airborne with a shark in pursuit and how far a sideways pull  on a 12 weight rod leaves a bamboozled  shark circling wondering where his lunch went.
