John Barr, the American fly tier, first tied this in 1996. It is now in the category of legendary nymphs, and is tied in a multitude of colours. This red bodied fly is most likely an attractor pattern. Again it's the copper wire that gets it quickly to the bottom of the river. Rainbow Trout eat it big time.
