The Buzzer nymph came into the fly fishing scene in the 1920's and then had a resurgence again in the 1960's.     Buzzer fishing is a still water practise  developed in English impoundments.                                                                                                  The early part of the Buzzers life begins in the muddy lake bottom were they are called a Blood Worm.  They are also present in silt laden rivers.   Flighted midge over water signals there will be Buzzers in the water column.    We would traditionally suspend the Buzzer under a midge ball (Goulburn Griffiths).
