Oreti River, NZ

All the trout on the South Island fight hard and get down and dirty very quickly.     No more so than on the upper Oreti, the middle at Mossburn or the lower section at Lumsden.    This open flood plain river and the prevailing Norwest wind makes it terrestrial heaven.   Cicada, blowfly and attractor patterns bring up the monsters.
