Parachute tied flies have not been about for very long, however, the Blue Winged Olive as a fly has been around for a long time in the American fishery. So it has been tied in many forms. A typical parachute tie has a low riding body which sits well into the surface water this giving the fish the view of the body colour of the fly and the parachute representing the wings. These aspects of the fly are important when fishing small flies. This little fly loves to hatch in cold weather and can be found in the early part of the season and the late part of the season.
