Mike Spry's original Kosciuszko Dun was then redesigned into a parachute pattern by Goulburn Valley Fly Fishing to represent a large pale Mayfly that hatches on the Swampy Plains River.
This large Mayfly was also noticed on other rivers including the Goulburn. This pattern is a Mick Hall tie, being a version of the GVFF fly. The body colour of the fly matches well and the post gives that mottily look to the wing.
This large Mayfly generally hatches on colder days and usually in the latter part of the evening hatch as the water temperature comes down.
It's a big Mayfly and you can't miss it.
